With a Master's in Documentary Film, Paul Zahnley has worked in all aspects of filmmaking: shooting, editing, location sound recording, and finally his true passion, audio post production.
Paul is best known as a creative technician – he loves his work, whether it calls for creating the perfect sound effect, mixing the multiple tracks of a complicated commercial, or smoothing out difficult dialogue. He also has the distinction of having been inducted as a full member into the Cinema Audio Society, due to his many film credits, including work on the highly acclaimed, long-running PBS series Jean-Michel Cousteau Ocean Adventures.
Paul has been a sound editor and mixer for 15 years. Recently he's been mixing shows and mini-series for the National Geographic Channel and KQED. In 2007 he was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing for Television Movies and Mini-Series.
